It's just a few tables at the back of an Asian grocery store (and takeaway), but oh boy, it's so much more. I was greeted so kindly and made to feel at home. A pretty simple menu belies how delicious the food is. I ordered fried rice that was made with green onions and white onions and lots of moist chicken. The portion was massive and the flavor was multilayered and simply wonderful. Recommended - go now
Hidden in the back of the grocery store is a small area where Hot n Spicy resides. The food was phenomenal. My favorites were the pho and the Lao sausage especially the dipping sauce it came with. Try to go early to get a seating since it’s limited. Definitely want to try all their other dishes!
I had a craving this cold morning for Pho and someone recommended HotNSpicy to me . The food was very good and not too salty pho which has been the case in other places in Madison . Portion is very big so an appetizer may be skipped next time I visit Spring rolls with chicken were crispy and flavorful Very small dining area of three tables , so it is a first come first sit situation . Located inside of a grocery store to the back left of the store I will be back for sure
If you are looking for authentic you found it! It didn’t look like a restaurant when we pulled up it looks like a grocery store. Which it is, which I was not expecting. But there a little back corner with a kitchen and they are super friendly. There are maybe four tables. I had the Pad See Ew (heat 2) and she had the Panang Red Curry (heat 2). Both meals were delicious -flavorful and spicy. Glad we went inside to check it out. Can’t wait to eat here again.
Hot N Spicy never disappoints! We ordered angel wings and pad Thai with chicken. The chicken is so crispy and light, not heavy at all. They're filled with veggies and noodles. Everything was spiced just right. The pad Thai is equally as amazing. Perfectly cooked noodles with a sweet spicy sauce. We had chicken with ours.
PLEASE BRING BACK KHAO PIAK SEIN!! Best squash curry in town! Amazing pho broth. Everything is so good! This is one of the most flavorful Thai/Laotian menus in town. Really hope your menu grows and you open up your own place!
Very authentic Vietnamese restaurant. Primarily takeout, but limited seating (3 tables) if you want to eat there. Very friendly and great service. Credit cards accepted. It is located at the back of the Viet Hoa Market grocery store. The Panang Red Curry was excellent but was spicy at "medium" spice level. I recommend going down a level from what you are used to! They do have a no spice option as well. The Pad Thai (with Shrimp) was good but I should have added extra egg for 1 extra. The Spring Roll was quite large and you get 2 for 7 (9 with Shrimp). I will get the Shrimp ones next time. Great hidden gem!
The food was amazing and priced reasonably. I got the best spring rolls I've ever had in my life here. The tofu was fantastic. If you're trying to eat in, the seating is minimal.
